The Most Beautiful Boy Ever

I know I'm biased, but this baby boy is still fiendishly cute. Oh, I just want to smother him with kisses.

Dinner!

Just wanted to post a quickie.

Paxton had his first solid food three days ago. Rice cereal mixed with breast milk. He ate pretty well the first night. He ate better last night. And tonight he mainly just spit it back at me. He suddenly remembered last week that he knows how to make rasberries, so he does it incessantly now. I got dots of rice cereal all over me. But Paxton surpassed the mere dots. His nose was crusty with cereal. Ick. I totally get why bibs are such a necessity. Between the drool and the rice cereal, he's constantly soaked. Another reason God made babies so cute.

By the way, the rice cereal has not made Paxton sleep through the night. Not by a long shot. If anything, he wakes up more often now. I've no idea why. My theory is that he is having problems digesting it, since he still gets awful gas just from the breast milk. But who knows. I'm just holding out for six months--the magical time that the books say most babies are done with the gas, sleep through the night and show a wonder of other miraculous advancements. Of course, just his first day of eating rice cereal had me in tears. He's growing up so fast. Too fast. He's five months old tomorrow. It feels like he just was born, but the year is flying by. He can do so many things already. When he sees a bottle, he grabs it and holds it all by himself to eat. When I reach out for his hands, he pulls himself up to his feet and no longer seems surprised at his capability to do so! He's a big boy and I'm a sobbing mess.
